2. Earnings Disclaimer

Trucking income varies significantly based on numerous factors outside of TruckerFlow's control, including but not limited to:

3.2 Self-Employment Tax

The Service uses a simplified self-employment tax rate of 15.3% for estimation purposes. This is an approximation. Actual self-employment tax calculation involves:

• Do not account for unexpected expenses (breakdowns, accidents, delays)
• Cannot predict market changes (rate fluctuations, fuel spikes)
• Are only as accurate as the inputs you provide
• Should be used as planning tools, not financial forecasts

4.2 Accuracy of Inputs

The calculator displays "actuals" based on data you have entered into TruckerFlow. These actual figures are only as accurate as your data entry. If your recorded trips, expenses, or miles are incomplete or incorrect, the reference actuals will be misleading.

4.3 Per-Mile Cost Estimates

Default per-mile costs (fuel, maintenance, tires, tolls, permits) are industry averages and may not reflect your specific situation. Factors that affect your actual costs include:

• Equipment age and condition
• Driving habits and fuel efficiency
• Geographic region and terrain
• Maintenance schedule and quality
• Tire brand and replacement frequency
• Routes driven (toll roads vs. non-toll)

4.4 Not a Business Plan

Calculator projections should not be used as the sole basis for major business decisions such as purchasing equipment, entering lease agreements, or taking out loans. Consult with a business advisor or financial professional before making significant investments.

5. AI Data Extraction Disclaimer

5.1 Receipt Scanning

TruckerFlow uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to extract information from receipt images. This extraction process:

• May misread handwritten or faded text
• May incorrectly identify amounts, dates, or vendors
• May miscategorize expense types
• Works best with clear, well-lit photos of printed receipts
• Displays a confidence indicator — "low" confidence means higher likelihood of errors

5.2 Settlement Slip Scanning

AI extraction from carrier settlement documents:

• Varies in accuracy based on document format and quality
• May misinterpret line items, especially handwritten notes
• May incorrectly allocate amounts between loads and deductions
• Should be verified against the original settlement before approval

5.3 Bank Statement Import

When importing bank statements:

• Transaction descriptions may be abbreviated or unclear
• Category assignments are based on pattern matching and may be incorrect
• Personal transactions may be incorrectly categorized as business expenses
• All imported transactions are staged for your review before being committed

5.4 User Responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-extracted data before approval.The staging and approval process exists specifically to give you the opportunity to verify accuracy. Once you approve staged entries, they are added to your records and affect your reports and calculations.

TruckerFlow is not liable for errors resulting from approved entries that contain incorrect AI-extracted data.

6. Data Accuracy

The accuracy of all reports, calculations, and projections depends entirely on the accuracy of the data you enter. TruckerFlow:

• Does not verify the accuracy of data you enter
• Does not validate that trips were actually completed
• Does not confirm expense amounts match actual receipts
• Does not audit your records for completeness

If you enter incomplete, incorrect, or estimated data, the resulting reports and calculations will reflect those inaccuracies. "Garbage in, garbage out" applies.

7. Not Professional Advice

TruckerFlow does not provide:

• Financial advice: We are not financial advisors and do not make investment or business recommendations
